A Classic Love - Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman

Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman one of my favorite classic Hollywood couples. They always looked so beautiful together, both are great actors and their on-screen chemistry is perfect - they have this sexiness about them. They made several films together and I always look forward to watching them on the TCM (Turner Classic Movie) channel.
ABOVE: Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward in a scene "From the Terrace" (1960) about a young executive (Paul Newman) who is married to (Joanne Woodward) and who is unfaithful too him. He needs to choose between a successful career, an unhappy marriage or be with another woman he actually loves. A film about infidelity, divorce and the price of success. I enjoyed this film - Great acting!
ABOVE: A scene from "The Long Hot Summer" (1958) a drifter Ben Quick (Paul Newman) who ends up in a small town in the South and gets a job working for Will Varner played by Orson Welles, the towns big shot and wants Quick to marry his daughter played by (Joanne Woodward), who doesn't care for Quick like her father would like her too - but in the end their relationship turns for the best.
ABOVE: "A New Kind of Love" (1963) about a department store buyer Samantha Blake (Joanne Woodward) who is sent to Paris to steal fashion ideas, and while there she decides to give herself a makeover so people will stop mistaking her for a boy but is mistaken for a "Lady of the Night" She then meets journalist Steve Sherman (Paul Newman) who is in Paris to write about the fashion shows, and the two fall in love. I had a great time looking at the fashion in this movie, the gowns that were worn in the fashion shows were designed by Pierre Cardin, Christian Dior, and Yves Saint Laurent. Edith Head designed Joanne Woodward wardrobe in the film.
In a 2005 "AARP Magazine" article, Paul Newman said on why their marriage lasted: "...because of great impatience tempered by patience. When you have been together this long, sometimes you drive each other nuts, but underneath that is some core of affection and respect"
