During the 1940s thru the 1960s a cocktail dress would not
have been complete without cashmere, angora or knit sweater. They were not just worn for warmth but for style
- an added piece that went from day to evening. They were each made with their
own individuality from being simple to decorated with embroidery, appliques,
rhinestones, beats or sequins and worn very stylishly with everything from jeans, a long skirt to a thin strap little dress.
During the cool months I a try to make a vintage waist fitted sweater part of an outfit now and then. Below are two sweaters available on Miss Sixties
