Model Profile: Karen Alexander

While going through some old magazines doing some of my regular inspirational research, I came across one of my favorite fashion models of the 1980's and 1990's and just had to look back at some of her most beautiful photos. African American and New Jersey born Karen Alexander started knocking down model agencies doors at age 16 and continued for two decades. Her exquisite and exotic looks were sought after by leading designers and photographers, landing her in the pages and on the covers of  Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, ELLE, Mademoiselle, Glamour, and Mirabella - and also appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue twice.

Model Moment: Christy, Naomi and Linda

In the 1990's, Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista attained fame and fortune posing for covers of U.S. and International editions of the most famous magazines, walking the runway for top designers and today still talked about and admired years after they first became famous.

They each have their own unique beauty looking very different from one another and created such an impression on the world of fashion. All so sexy and sophisticated and during the late 1980's and 1990's were considered to be the most famous models of them all. The talent and beauty of these women can never be matched.
