Two For The Road ....

...... a 1967 film that revolves around married couple Mark Wallace (Albert Finney) wife Joanna Wallace (Audrey Hepburn) throughout the sixties. Both on a European road-trip with flashbacks accruing of their first meeting, memorable moments in their courtship and the beginning of their married life. The film has one of my favorite costume designs and hairstyles. Some of Audrey's outfits contain swimsuits, lovely dresses, trench coats and a shiny black PVC trouser suit designed by Paco Rabanne. Audrey costumes represents the Mod and Swinging London style all the way.

The Pixie Crop

The 1960’s was anything but boring when it came to hairstyles; my favorite being the pixie cut - a style I have worn for many years now. It’s all about the side burns, longer top and tapered back, and a low-maintenance style that can be carried from day to night, worn casually or dressed up. I also love the pixie because it’s diversified - although it requires you to keep the hair short, you're not stuck with one style and can go from having layers, front bangs, with or without a side part, worn straight or with curls. The pixie made headlines in the 1960’s, but as time goes on it's a cut that's here to stay.

Hitchcock Heroines

Alfred Hitchcock and his wife Alma Paris

You could expect to see excellent acting from the leading ladies in Hitchcock films. They can make criminals and psychotic roles look troubled and attractive at the same time. Their characters were interesting, strong roles with a little chic and sophistication thrown in. I love to watch a Hitchcock film, full of suspense, romantic, always a great story and lots of mystery. Many of his movies were filled with vibrant colors and some were filmed on actual location from all over the world; which made it even more fun to watch.
