A Dancers "Modeling" Dream

Jacquie “Tajah” Murdock, a former dancer who grew up in Harlem, NY was picked by French fashion label “Lanvin” for their fall 2012 advertising campaign. She has always dreamed of being a professional model and her dream finally came true, landing her first major modeling assignment at the age of 82. I've come across a few inspiring articles on Ms. Murdock and at age 17 she appeared onstage at the Apollo Theatre for the first time in a troupe called Norma Miller’s Jazz Dancers and has been dancing ever since. She is an expert in Russian ballet and was a belly dancer at Manhattan’s Istanbul Club in the 1960’s. A beautiful woman and a good reminder to never give up one's dreams - no matter our age.
